[Abstract]
It is said that the psychological conditions have an impact on skin condition. However, the details are still unclear. In this study, We investigated correlative the psychological conditions and the skin condition in a consciousness level by questionnaire survey. In addition, We examined relationship between the salivary concentration of the oxytocin (OXT) in salivary is a hormone is released when we feel happy, and the cortisol (Cor) hormone is released when we feel the stress and it effects on the skin condition.¬ Those who answered that the level of well-being was high by questionnaire survey significantly had better skin condition than those who answered that level of well-being was low. On the other hand, Those who answered that stress level in the last 3 months was high by questionnaire survey significantly had worse skin condition than those who answered that the stress level in the last 3 months was low. Furthermore, the higher the OXT concentration in saliva is, the higher the skin water content and barrier function is, and the higher the Cor concentration in saliva is, the lower the skin water content and barrier function is. Moreover, With the continuous use of skin care cosmetics for one month, the OXT concentration in saliva increased in 5 out of 6 patients from before using, and it was confirmed that the degree of happiness increased in 3 of them. From the above, it was suggested that the hormone secreted by the mental condition may have some direct or indirect effect on the skin condition. In addition, it was suggested that a touching by doing make-up has the effect of increasing the happiness and improving the skin condition.
